Jen Hancock, Licensed Wildlife Rehabber
Jen works for Hancock Regional Hospital as a Laboratory Scientist, and she has a strong medical background for both animals and humans. Jen’s educational background includes a Bachelor ofScience degree in Biology from Purdue University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Laboratory Science from Indiana University. Jen is accredited in laboratory medicine by the American Society for Clinical Pathology, is a member of the Indiana Wildlife Federation, and her property in Fortville is designated as a Certified Wildlife Habitatwith the National Wildlife Federation. She has worked with animals, both domesticated and wild, practically her whole life, and she is an avid mushroom hunter! In her spare time, she enjoys kayaking, reading, quilling, and hiking with her German Shepherd. Her and her husband, Chad, have been married since August 2005, and they have one daughter, Kaitlyn, and 2 grandsons. Together, they have a menagerie including dogs, chickens, ducks, turtles, a sulcata tortoise, fish, parakeets, and a cat.
